
The Fort Peck Reservation is home to two separate Indian nations, each composed of numerous bands and divisions.
The Sioux divisions of Sisseton, Wahpetons, the Yanktonais, and the Teton Hunkpapa are all represented.
The Assiniboine bands of Canoe Paddler and Red Bottom are represented.
The Reservation is located in the extreme
northeast corner of Montana, on the north side of the Missouri
River.

The Maternal Child Health Program provides services to pregnant mothers with
education about SIDS, prenatal care, and breast feeding. Overall
promoting healthy pregnancies.
Other services included are smoking, illegal drug and domestic
abuse education. Workshops on FAS/FAE - Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Fetal
Alcohol Effect, and Methamphetamine
- METH are also available.
The Maternal Child Health Program, has a sub-component called the Prenatal Incentive
Program.
The Prenatal Incentive Program guidelines are:
1) A signature sheet will be issued for attendance of the following:
Prenatal clinic appointments.
Approved Tribal Health or IHS sponsored classes.
Appointments for Educational appointments with Public Health Nurse, Diabetes Educator and Nutritionist.
Other activities as approved.
If spouse attends appointments or classes, you will receive two signatures.
2) The signature sheet will be redeemed for gifts, each signature shall be worth one coupon.
3) The signature sheet will be the responsibility of the participant
and cannot be shared with another participant.
4) The Prenatal Incentive Program will be in effect only while supplies are available.
