Wellness Program: Staff

Kenneth Smoker received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration
from Rocky Mountain College in Billings and his Master’s degree
in business administration from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND.
Kenneth began working with the Fort Peck Tribes, first for 5 two year
elected terms as an Executive Board Member for the Fort Peck Tribal Government,
then for Federal Service a year as an Administrative Officer for the
Fort Peck Service Unit, and then for 13 years as the Service Unit Director.
Kenneth currently serves as a Health Programs Specialist with the Fort
Peck Tribes and Indian Health Services.

Rae Jean Belgarde is the School Health Center Coordinator
for the HP/DP Wellness program.

Johnelle Pipe is the Billing Manager for the HP/DP
Wellness program.

Margaret Marsh received her Bachelors of Science
in Nursing and Masters of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner
from Andrews University,
in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Margaret began her career in the medical
field working as a nurses aid. She then went to Lake Michigan College,
in Benton Harbor Michigan, where she earned a two year degree in
nursing. She then worked for Berrien General Hospital now part of
LakeLand Health Systems as an extended care facility. From there
she attended Andrews University for her BSN degree while working
at St. Joseph’s Medical Center ICU/PCU/CCU in South Bend Indiana.
She completed her masters in 1998 and practiced at South Western
Medical Clinic for five years before going to the Verne E. Gibbs
Indian Health Services for two years on the Ft. Peck Indian Reservation.
Then back to South Western Medical clinics while contracting intermittently
with Eagle Butte Indian Health Services in South Dakota. She has
also worked as an Assistant professor at Andrews University Department
of Nursing and clinical instructor for Lake Michigan College and
Southwestern Michigan College. She is now the provider for the School-Based
Health Clinics on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation through the Fort
Peck Tribes in cooperation with the Fort Peck Reservation local IHS
and the Health Promotion Disease Prevention Wellness Program.

Cheryl BigHorn-Savior is a registered nurse and
has been hired as a contract worker for the HP/DP Wellness Program
as a school nurse and case manager through
the Montana Medicaid Health Improvement Program.

Shannon Lezard is a Medical Assistant for the HP/DP
Wellness Program.

Janene Shigley is a Medical Assistant for the HP/DP
Wellness Program.

June Daniels is the Office Manager/Billing Assistant
for the HP/DP
Wellness Program.

Judy Kurien is the Licensed Clinical Social Worker
for the HP/DP
Wellness Program.

Michael Todd is an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine Sioux
Tribes on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. He comes from the Hudesha
(Red Bottom) band of the Assiniboine and also has relatives in the
Wodopana (Canoe Paddlers) band. Currently Michael works through the
Center for Native Health Partnerships, a division of Health Sciences,
through Montana State University-Bozeman. Working with the community
to set up physical activity opportunities for families and children
by offering classes in Archery, Hunting Skills and wilderness survival
classes. In the past Michael has directed the reservation chapter
for Safe On All Roads (S.O.A.R.) which deals with the education of
D.U.I. and seatbelt use throughout the state of Montana.
Michelle Posselt is the Registered Dental Hygenist
for the HP/DP Wellness Program.
